Q: What information do I need to place an order?

A: If you are a new customer, ProTek will need the following information: one(1) bank and three(3) trade references.  All orders must include the following: ship, bill and buy location; phone and fax number; part number; quantity; price; requested delivery date; and shipping instructions.  All orders have a minimum order quantity of $500.00.  If this order is based on a quote, the Quote number must be referenced.

Q: What are ProTek's terms and conditions for sales?

A: FOB- Tempe, Arizona; Net 30 Terms or COD; Freight - Prepay & Add or Collect with an account number.  On all standard products a 60 day change (from original request date) notice or cancellation notice is required.  On non-standard or special priced product a 90 day change (from original request date) notice or cancellation is required.  Cancellations may be subject to a 100% restocking fee.  Terms and conditions are subject to change at ProTek's discretion, without notice.  Click Here for a copy of ProTek's terms and conditions.

Q: When should I expect and acknowledgement to my order?

A: All orders are acknowledged within 24 business hours of receipt.

Q: What specification does your quality system comply with?

A: On September 16, 2009, National Quality Assurance, USA issued a certificate of registration, approving ProTek's quality management system and finding the system to be in conformance to the standards of ISO 9001:2008.  To view a copy of our ISO certificate, please click here.

Q: Is product 100% tested?

A: All product is 100%  tested then sample tested by outgoing Quality Control.

Q: Do you perform reliability testing on specific devices?

A: Yes.  Reliability testing is performed periodically and summary data is updated monthly for those products selected for testing.

Q: Is ProTek RoHS Compliant?

A: ProTek Analog is 100% RoHS compliant.  These products are compatible with the current RoHS requirements for all six banned substances, including the requirement to be soldered at high temperatures.  In addition, ProTek Analog products are identified as "lead free" as defined in the European Union's RoHS directive 2002/95/EC.

Q: What does RoHS stand for?

RoHS is the acronym for Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Q: What is RoHS?

A: RoHS calls for manufacturers to restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the European Parliament directive 2002/95/EC of January 2003. The goal is to reduce human, animal and environmental exposure of these materials through the ordinary use of products. The directive applies to any company that wishes to sell products within the EU and must be met by July 1, 2006.

Q: What is REACH?

A: REACH is an EU regulation that addresses the production and use of chemical substances and the potential impacts on both human health and the environment. The main aims of REACH are to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, the promotion of alternative test methods, the free circulation of substances on the internal market and enhancing competitiveness and innovation. REACH makes industry responsible for assessing and managing the risks posed by chemicals and providing appropriate safety information to their users. In parallel, the European Union can take additional measures on highly dangerous substances, where there is a need for complementing action at EU level.

Q: What does WEEE stand for?

A: WEEE is the acronym for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Q: What is WEEE?

A: The WEEE directive, 2002/96/EC, became European law in February 2003, setting collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical and electronic equipment. The directive imposes the responsibility for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment on the manufacturers of such equipment.

Q: What does REACH stand for?

A: REACH is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances.

Q: What is the difference between RoHS compliance and Lead Free?

A: Lead is only one of the six banned substances in the RoHS directive. Of all the materials banned by RoHS, only lead (pB) applies to ProTek Devices products. If a ProTek product is designated lead-free it is also considered RoHS compliant
